Committee Meeting

  1. Reminder for Re-Charter. Annual Boy Scout and Troop dues are 45$. Boys life is an additional $12 (total $57) These are due the first week of Nov. Please get checks to Margarite Goswick. If you have changed address, phone number or email please send changes to Sue Hall (shall@meicompany.com)

  2. Popcorn – update – final orders due next week 1 Nov, bring orders to 28 Oct mtg.
    a. Total sales to date = 3,115.00-
    b. patrol standings as of today are Dingo- $1242, Penguin $1202, Phantom\(previously known as ghost)

    $572, Sasquatch $95- Mr Pletcher has written to secure 10 movie tickets for the winning patrol
    c. 1000$ worth of popcorn on hand to sell- need another to schedule “door to door” or “show and sell”

  3. Campout Status – Last 2 camp outs since the committee meeting were well attended. Use of the school bus instead of the church bus for the Key Largo trip worked well as an alternate. However we will try to schedule the Church Bus when it is available.

  4. Troop Halloween Party – Monday October 28th - Event will begin at 6pm. Event is open for families and siblings. We will be buying pizza and need deserts, snacks or drinks A sign up genius has been posted- or let Jeni Scott know what you can bring. Decorating will start at 1pm if you have any Halloween decorations or can help decorate, please join Jane Drazich at the Church at 1pm.

  5. Scouting For Food - Nov 2nd and Nov 9th – Scouting for food will be both weekends starting at 9am. First weekend we deliver the bags, the second weekend we pick up the bags of food. Both activities start at 9 am at the church. We still need drivers, please let Cory Slade know if you can help drive.

  6. Lutheran Church 50th Anniversary Celebration – Nov 9th Jousting event – The boys can earn community service hours by helping run the jousting event. A sign up genius is posted. If you have any questions please contact Fred or Lisa Stotz.

  7. NYLT Camp La-No-Chi – cost is $250 - The National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) organizer would like to speak with the troop regarding the Training over the Winter Break at Camp LaNoChe. Mr Pletcher is trying to schedule her for the 4th or 11th of Nov

  8. Summer Camp Committee– Summer Camp report from D. Stremmel and C. Slade; They have selected three options for 2015 Summer Camp;

    The boys will decide Summer Camp 2015 at the Patrol Leader Council, which is scheduled for the Monday following the Camporee , Nov 25.
    2014 Pre Camp Trips – Mr Stremmel has a list of pre trips that include Horseback Riding, Caving and Zip-lining, and River trips. These range in cost from $30-$70.

  9. Nov 22-14 - Fall Camporee - Physical Activity Theme

10. Jan 18- 20 campout to the Brooksville Raid Civil War reenactment is booked. The camp facility will be the Sertoma Youth Ranch. The cost of the youth ranch is free, as well as admission to the reenactment, with Scouts in uniform. We should plan on a Sat – Sun campout for this event.

  1. Feb 15-17 -Patriots Point monies are due the 1st wk of Dec. Scouts $46, Adults $92

  2. March 15-16 Campout –Working to confirm camping at Lake Kissimmee State Park.

  3. April 11-13 - Spring Camporee –

  4. May 3-4th - Alexander Springs camping and canoeing.
